So what does BMI actually mean?

BMI, or the body mass index, is a tool thats used to determine whether or not a person is at a normal weight for his or her height. It was invented between 1830 and 1850 by mathematician and scientist Adolphe Quetelet. Though its been almost 200 years since he created the BMI, its used today almost exactly as he outlined.

While BMI isnt the final word in whether or not someone is at a normal weight, its one of the first tools often used to determine if someones overweight. Because the BMI doesnt distinguish between weight from fat and weight from muscle (other tools must be used to determine the actual amount of fat) it doesnt work well for very muscular people like athletes.

It also does not take in the affect of different size body frames.

But for most of us, BMI is a pretty accurate measure of whether were underweight, a normal weight, overweight or obese.

There will be 2 methods shown here; one for meters and kgs and one for inches and pounds.

Calculating BMI isnt difficult once you understand the formula. The basic formula is weight divided by height squared, or kg/m2. Sou

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a well spread disease among Americans. Old, middle aged and even young people are subjected to it. Both men and women may suffer from this disease. Because of irritable bowel syndrome thousands of men are forced to miss their work, loosing their time, or to be less productive than they might be. So this disease is a scourge of American economy and American culture. Still there are certain IBS treatments, which help to forget about this disease.

As experts believe, the buildup of feces in the colon, which leads to bacteria and gas, is considered to be one of the most common IBS causes.

It summarizes the latest developments in the field and looks to its future, exploring some of the cutting-edge ideas at the forefront of the discipline.

Most people who have received an invite to the upcoming Royal Wedding are fretting over what theyre going to wear to the event and shopping for the perfect dress and perfect pair of shoes.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson isnt fretting over what dress shes going to wear to the event however, shes fretting over what nose shell be wearing to the wedding. Supposedly the UK socialite is wanting to have a new nose in place before she watches the royal nuptials.

Although this may seem like a bizarre way to prepare for such a special event, Tara is defending her desire for the new nose by saying she wants a nose with a straighter profile, something that apparently wasnt achieved by her last nose job, done due to damage from her previous cocaine habit.

Amazingly, she isnt the only one planning surgery for big events.

To help you get started, we are going to discuss some of the best usage tips to use in this article. Let’s have a look, shall we?

The atomizer acts as the main component of your electronic cigarette. When you inhale through the mouthpiece or take a drag, the atomizer will be activated automatically; liquid nicotine stored inside the refill cartridge gets vaporized and you will see a white, smoke-like mist coming out of the mouthpiece.

Just like any other heat-producing device, it is necessary to allow the atomizer to cool down for a while before you take another drag. P Get more…

The sensor is based around a genetically engineered protein nanopore and has an opening one billionth of a meter wide, just wide enough for a single DNA strand to pass through.
