- Try adding one or two to your week, then one or two each day and before you know it, they’ll become part of your routine.
- Walk while you talk. They’re not called mobile phones for nothing. Any time you talk on the phone, walk around.
- Mix a juice spritzer. Pour half the juice you’d normally drink and fill the rest of your glass with sparkling water.
- Pack a lunch. You’ll make healthier choices and eat less than if you were dining out.
- Log your food. Write down what you eat, it keeps you accountable and prevents mindless eating.
- Sip green tea before a walk. The caffeine and polyphenols are thought to increase fat and calorie burn.
- Dip your bread. Try dipping your bread in olive oil instead of using butter; you’ll probably use less.
- Sprinkle flax on cereal. High-fiber ground flaxseed curbs your appetite and helps you consume less.
- Trick your taste buds. Sucking on hard mints can help override cravings.
