>Lenexa Midnight Bike Ride Changes Date
Riders are invited to the 16th annual Lenexa Midnight Bike and Hike. Lenexa, KS – infoZine – It’s the same family friendly event, but one day earlier. Riders are invited to the 16th annual Lenexa Midnight Bike and Hike Friday, July 15 through Black Hoof Park at Lake Lenexa and nearby neighborhoods.
The race was moved from its typical date of the third Saturday in July to Friday, July 15 to accommodate construction in Black Hoof Park.
This year, the course is a six-mile loop that starts and ends at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 21515 W. 101st St. Riders can repeat part of the loop to add an additional five miles.
Riders and their family members can also take a moonlit, 1.5-mile hike on the scenic trail along Lake Lenexa to the dam and spillway. All ages are welcome to participate, and hikers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring a flashlight.

The Midnight Bike and Hike registration fee is $20. T-shirts are available while supplies last. The family rate is $2 off registration fees for each child under the age of 18 (limited to four children per adult).
The hike is $2 per person and Chris Cakes all-you-can-eat pancakes are available after the ride for $6 per person.

The Midnight Bike Ride is presented in partnership by the Lenexa Optimist Club and Lenexa Parks and Recreation Department. Proceeds from the event benefit the local community through Optimist-sponsored projects, Optimist International programs and much more.
