Oklahoma House passes health care measure

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma House of Representatives passed a measure Wednesday morning essentially asking the federal government to continue to send the state more than $10 billion in federal health care money while exempting the state from federal health care regulation. Passed 66-28 on mostly party lines, Senate Bill 722 took up nearly two hours on the last day Senate bills could be heard in the House. Proponents argued that the measure “nullifies” unconstitutional federal health care law and begins the process of returning control to the states. ‘We’re trying to stick to £50 a week for our food budget – but it’s tough’
